Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda
Bays.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the
average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

A typical summer pattern is anticipated with onshore winds in the
8-15kt range and 2-4 foot seas. Isolated, mainly overnight and
morning showers or thunderstorms are possible in the Gulf and near
the coast, with slightly better chances of storms in the north
parts of the bays in the early-mid afternoon hours. Chances
decline Tuesday through Thursday as some drier air moves into the
area. NHC will be monitoring the northeast and north central Gulf
for any tropical development later this week. Chances are
currently around 30%, but it is a good reminder for mariners to
keep up with the latest forecasts.
