003 FZUS54 KHGX 020506 CWFHGX Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 1206 AM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025 Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-021815- 1206 AM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. The remains of a stalled front will continue to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms over the coastal locations and Gulf waters into the evening and overnight hours. Some of the stronger storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Winds outside of storms will generally be light and variable, while becoming erratic and gusty in and around any storms.
