Bays.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the
average highest 10 percent of the waves.

.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.

A tightening pressure gradient will lead to increasing southeast
winds and building seas as we head into the middle and late parts
of the work week. We will also see some periods of unsettled
weather with increased chances of showers and thunderstorms in the
vicinity. Winds and seas will diminish somewhat this weekend,
though scattered precipitation will remain in the forecast with a
surface coastal trough situated off the coast.
