963 FZUS54 KHGX 061208 CWFHGX Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 608 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025 Upper Texas coastal waters from High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60 nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ300-070115- 608 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025 .Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM including Galveston and Matagorda Bays. Isolated to scattered coastal and offshore showers this morning should diminish by the afternoon. A cold front will approach the region tonight. Areas of fog are expected to develop ahead of the front. Fog could become dense at times. A Dense Fog advisory might be warranted for later tonight and Sunday morning. Northerly winds will increase in the cold front`s wake, likely warranting Small Craft Advisories Sunday evening into Monday morning. Occasional gusts to gale force cannot be ruled out offshore in the open Gulf. Winds and seas should gradually improve by Monday afternoon, with onshore flow returning by Tuesday.
