Surface high pressure well to the north of the state will result
in a fairly typical easterly trade wind pattern for at least the
next week or so. This pattern keeps clouds and showers generally
favoring the typical windward locations. A broad upper trough/low
nearby may bring a slight uptick in showery activity this
weekend, but no major rainfall events are currently expected as
the ITCZ remains well to the south and no major frontal zones
affect the state. More stable conditions are expected to return
by next week as an upper ridge builds back over Hawaii.
