For Sunday and Monday, trades are expected to remain rather weak
without the typical surface high in place to the north and as a
weak surface trough passes over Hawaii, potentially allowing for a
land/sea breeze pattern. Meanwhile a tongue of higher moisture
will track westward for some possibly enhanced showers especially
Sunday. After that, a drier airmass will move in under a ridge
aloft for less shower coverage by Tuesday and beyond, while trades
may increase slightly to around moderate levels. This pattern
looks to last through the rest of the week, and then will monitor
a possible tropical system tracking near Hawaii early next week.
