390 FXHW01 KWNH 220727 PMDHI Hawaii Extended Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 227 AM EST Sat Nov 22 2025 Valid 00Z Sun 23 Nov 2025 - 00Z Sun 30 Nov 2025 The main surface high is expected to be positioned northeast of Hawaii going into the weekend, with mainly easterly trade wind flow expected that will initially be breezy, and then winds generally become lighter by Sunday as the pressure gradient lessens as a col develops in the subtropical high. There will likely be a weak inverted surface trough near the state through the weekend, with perhaps some areas of enhanced shower activity based on the latest model guidance, which is generally in good agreement on this overall scenario. Looking ahead to next week, a relatively strong cold front approaches from the northwest and may affect the western Islands with some increase in shower activity, but not as heavy when compared to yesterday`s model guidance. Otherwise, mainly trade wind showers can be expected most days for the favored terrain. Hamrick $$
