Guidance agrees that a mid-upper trough/low will continue to shift
westward over the state early this week. A surface trough is
allowing for some increased moisture and showers, especially over
favored terrain. As these features exit, there looks to be reduced
support for showers through later week with return to a drier
trade wind pattern with more spotty and uncertain upper impulses.
A favored composite of reasonably well clustered guidance
indicates that high pressure bridged to the north of the islands
and passage to the south of the state of a series of tropical
disturbances this week from the ITCZ as followed by the Central
Pacific Hurricane Center may support moderate to breezy island
trades.
