Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
 Ridging will remain in place over the area through Tuesday and
should maintain gentle to moderate southeasterly flow across the
local waters. A large, long period, northwest swell will
gradually decline today, but still produce seas above Small Craft
Advisory levels for exposed waters through at least noon. A cold
front is forecast to approach from the northwest on Wednesday and
may affect marine zones west of Kauai with unsettled weather, but
is then expected to weaken to a trough and retreat westward. By
late this week into the weekend, strengthening surface high
pressure northeast of the islands will bring a return of easterly
trades.
