A ridge of high pressure north of the area will gradually shift southeast over the next several days. This will cause the trade winds to weaken and veer towards the southeast. A large northwest swell will fill in on Wednesday and will produce elevated seas for select areas. A front will approach the state over the weekend with an extra large northwest swell expected Saturday night into Sunday. $$ Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels- .TONIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots.
