.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A slow moving and weakening cold front will stall over the Kauai
Channel tonight then dissipate by Friday evening. Strong trade winds
will rebuild across the state Friday and Saturday. A large, long
period northerly swell will build this weekend, elevating seas and
possibly generating harbor surges along north facing harbors.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

.TONIGHT...Variable mainly south winds up to 15 knots
except north to northeast winds 15 to 20 kt around Kauai and east
winds 10 to 20 knots windward and leeward Big Island.
Seas 5 to 8 feet. Wave Detail: North northwest 4 feet at 11
seconds and east southeast 3 feet at 7 seconds. Hazy. Scattered
showers.
.FRIDAY and FRIDAY NIGHT...East to northeast winds 15 to 25 knots
except variable winds 10 knots leeward Maui and leeward Big
Island. Seas 7 to 11 feet, highest seas north and west of Kauai.
Wave Detail: North northwest 7 feet at 13 seconds and east 5 feet
at 6 seconds. Hazy. Scattered showers.
.SATURDAY and SATURDAY NIGHT...East northeast winds 10 to 20
knots. Seas 10 to 14 feet, highest seas north and west of Kauai
and Oahu. Wave Detail: North northwest 10 feet at 16 seconds and
east 5 feet at 6 seconds. Scattered showers.
.SUNDAY..East to northeast winds 15 to 25 knots. Seas 10 to 14
feet, subsiding to 8 to 11 feet. Highest seas over windward waters
and northwest exposures. Scattered showers.
.MONDAY...East to northeast winds 15 to 25 knots. Seas 7 to 10 feet.
Scattered showers.
.TUESDAY...East to northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 6 to 8
feet. Scattered showers.
