A slow moving and weakening cold front will stall over the Kauai Channel tonight then dissipate by Friday evening. Strong trade winds will rebuild across the state Friday and Saturday. A large, long period northerly swell will build this weekend, elevating seas and possibly generating harbor surges along north facing harbors. $$ Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels- .TONIGHT...Variable mainly south winds up to 15 knots except north to northeast winds 15 to 20 kt around Kauai and east winds 10 to 20 knots windward and leeward Big Island.
