.DISCUSSION...
The cooling trend and overall improved humidity recovery
will last until Monday, but much above average temperatures
return for the latter part of this week. There is a slight
chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the high
country of Yosemite today. By late in the week, an influx of
monsoonal moisture will bring back the potential for showers
and thunderstorms to the mountains and could spread into the
desert. Elevated fire concerns will continue through the
period in the Kern County desert and mountains due to
increased winds at times combined with low daytime humidity.
