.DISCUSSION...
A cooling trend will start today and continue through the weekend
and into next week. Chances for precipitation are diminishing for
the latter part of this week for much of the area, though a 15
to 25 percent probability for thunderstorms exists for the Mojave
Desert Thursday and Friday. Light winds currently will give way
to breezy conditions by Friday and into Saturday as a system moves
through the area; stronger gusts are expected along the Sierra
crest and in the Mojave Slopes. There is increasing potential for
more widespread precipitation early next week as ensembles
indicate another system moving through the region during that time.
