A cooling trend will continue today across the region, with temperatures approaching 10 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year. Afternoon highs are expected in the mid 60s for the remainder of the weekend before highs in the mid to upper 50s into next week. Minimum temperatures will gradually cool into the mid 30s during the early to midweek period. However, minimum RH values are expected around 25 to 35 percent Sunday and Monday before tracking above 50 percent starting Tuesday. Overnight recoveries in the mid 60 percent range for the next two days will improve above 80 percent into Tuesday. Otherwise, winds will largely be diurnal, upsloping from the southwest during the day and downsloping from the east overnight. Some stronger 20-foot and ridge winds are possible in the afternoons, with maximum gusts approaching 15 to 20 mph.
