Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather will continue today and tonight across Northern
Alabama. An approaching storm system will bring lower end rain
chance to far NW Alabama late Saturday afternoon, with higher rain
chances overspreading the region Saturday night through Sunday
morning. Some of the storms late Saturday night and early Sunday
could become strong to severe in intensity; with the higher severe
threat more to the west.

High temperatures today should rise into the low/mid 80s, with
minimum afternoon relative humidities in the low/mid 40s percent
range. Fair smoke dispersion rates are forecast today.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy early morning fog is
possible early this morning in sheltered valleys and near bodies
of water.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
