.DISCUSSION...

Variable 20 foot winds of 5 mph or less or expected today.
Transport winds from the east between 5 and 10 mph and mixing in
the afternoon will produce very dry conditions (RH between 26 and
30 percent) north of the Tennessee River. Mixing heights will be
high, well above 5000 feet. Overall dispersion conditions will be
good.

Persistent northeasterly winds are expected on Saturday.
Transport wind from the east will increase to around 10 mph.
Mixing heights will be even higher on Saturday. Higher afternoon
minimum relative humidity values are expected, only dropping to
between 35 and 40 percent. Overall dispersion conditions will be
good.

Fog potential over the next few days: Some patchy fog will be
possible towards daybreak this morning and on Saturday morning,
especially in NE Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are expected with such
light winds in the forecast.
