Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
250 AM CDT Wed Sep 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...

A weak cold front will continue to drift into the western half of
the area today before stalling across the I-65 corridor tonight.
Scattered to perhaps numerous showers, along with a few storms,
are possible along and ahead of the front today before rainfall
diminishes this evening. Periods of moderate to occasionally heavy
rainfall are then expected Thu and Thu night, as Tropical Storm
Helene in the southeast Gulf strengthens to a hurricane prior to
landfall along the eastern Gulf Coast. As the tropical system
begins to lift to the north and weaken, rain chances will begin to
taper off during the day Fri and continue into Fri evening. Low
rain chances are then possible this weekend into next week, as a
reinforcing cold front out of the NW sweeps thru the region.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
