Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
308 PM CDT Tue Sep 15 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions should continue through the mid week, as high
pressure at the surface and aloft control the weather. After low
temperatures tonight fall into the upper 60s to low/mid 70s, highs
on Wednesday should heat into the mid/upper 90s, with heat
indices from the upper 90s to 107 degrees. Minimum afternoon
relative humidities in the 40s percent range are expected.
Generally Good smoke dispersion rates are forecast, with transport
winds of 5-10 mph, and mixing heights from 6500-7500 ft AGL.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night fog could
form in sheltered valley locations.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
