Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
227 PM CDT Sun Jun 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Daytime heating of a moist environment should produce numerous
showers and thunderstorms into the early evening. Showers/storms
that form should dissipate as go into later evening and overnight.
Low temperatures should range into mid and upper 60s with light
winds. The return of lower clouds and a surface winds above 5kt
should help keep overnight fog formation minimized.

Plenty of lower level moisture and enhanced instability from
daytime heating should bring high (70-90%) chances of showers and
thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures should warm
into the mid/upper 80s, with minimum afternoon RH values in the
upper 60s percent range. Transport level winds of 15 mph at around
5000 feet AGL should produce Good smoke dispersion rates on
Monday, and Generally Good to Good rate Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Not forecast at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
