Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
120 PM CDT Wed Jun 25 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid conditions will continue across Northern Alabama
into the weekend. Low temperatures tonight and Thursday night
should fall into the low/mid 70s, with maximum RHs of 95-100
percent. Highs on Thursday and Friday will rise into the low/mid
90s, with heat indexes up to 108 degrees. A Heat Advisory
continues through 7 PM Friday evening. Light winds from the
surface to the mixing layer will produce Fair smoke dispersion
rates Thursday and Friday.

Strong daytime heating and resultant instability will result in
isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Into the weekend,
some of the storms could become strong to severe. High amounts of
moisture in the atmosphere could result in locally heavy
rainfall.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night fog is
possible, mainly in/near sheltered valleys, and near locations
that received wetting rainfall.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Are not forecast at this time.
