.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 208 AM CST Wed Nov 12 2025

A mid/upper ridge was situated over the Rockies with northwest
mid/upper flow extending downstream over the central CONUS. This was
resulting in tranquil weather over the Central Plains with mild mid
November temperatures.

Today-Friday...light and variable winds early today will become
light and southeast as we move through the day. Unseasonably mild
conditions will prevail through today and linger into the remainder
of the weekend as the mid/upper ridge gradually builds eastward
through the period. As we move into the weekend, a vigorous
shortwave trough is progged to impact southern California but it
continues to trend slower over the past several days. This will
result in a continuation of mild and dry weather for the forecast
area through the upcoming weekend before this system gradually
arrives late Sun into Mon bringing only low probabilities for
precipitation to the area. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s
today will rise into the mid and upper 70s by Fri-Sat with only a
modest cooldown progged on Sunday.

Mon-Tue...A return toward more seasonable temperatures is
anticipated in the Mon-Tue periods but values will still remain
above climate normals for mid November with highs mainly in the
upper 50s and lower 60s. Low pops were maintained on Mon but
confidence in wetting rains remains low at this time.
