...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas...

  Little Arkansas River At Alta Mills affecting Harvey and Reno
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING TO LATE FRIDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Arkansas River at Alta Mills.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening to late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, About a 500 ft wide overflow may be
  expected across Highway 50, located about 6 miles south of the
  gage site around River Park Road. Directly south of the gage
  expect the low lying area to be inundated for a few miles. North
  of the gage, overflow may be about half mile wide. Expect fields
  and cropland to be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow evening to a crest of 24.3 feet Thursday morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage late Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
