...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following
  county, McPherson.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 657 PM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding
    across the county. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mcpherson, Lindsborg, Moundridge, Inman, Galva, Canton,
    Marquette, Windom, Mcpherson Airport and Roxbury.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
