...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1888, Wichita recorded its snowiest November on
record with a total of 9.0 inches.  It is interesting
that this occurred during the first year of Wichita`s
climate record.  In 1998, record warm overnight lows were
achieved in much of the Upper Mississippi Valley.
LaCrosse Wisconsin recorded a balmy low of only 60
degrees, which edged the record of 59 degrees set in
1933.
