A line of showers and storms moved northeast across central Kansas
late last night. Predawn temperatures were on the mild side with
values in the 60s and gusty south winds of 15 to 25 mph.

Showers and storms will continue to move northeast across the
central plains today as a strong upper level weather system moves
into the region. The stronger storms are expected to redevelop
later this afternoon over south central Kansas and northern
Oklahoma. Some of the stronger storms will be capable of producing
damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes. Daytime highs
will range from the cooler 50s in western Nebraska to the warm low
80s in eastern Oklahoma.

Storms will continue to move northeast across the central plains
tonight, as a strong upper level weather systems moves east across
Kansas. Some of the storms will continue to produce severe
weather mainly across parts of eastern Kansas into western
Missouri. Overnight lows will range from the colder 30s in
western Nebraska to the low 60s in eastern Oklahoma.
