Numerous showers and thunderstorms were affecting much of Kansas
this afternoon with periods of very heavy rainfall due to slow
moving thunderstorms. Afternoon highs were in the 60s and low 70s
across the sunflower state.

Upper level low pressure system will move slowly eastward across
Kansas and Oklahoma tonight. This will cause numerous showers and
storms to overspread the area and move eastward. Severe weather is
not expected however some of this activity will produce very heavy
rainfall and flash flooding for some locations. Overnight lows
will range from the cool lower 40s in northern Nebraska to the
middle 60s in eastern Oklahoma.

Drier and cooler weather will be in store for the Heartland on
Friday as surface high pressure builds over the region. Daytime
highs will be in the 60s and low 70s over middle America.
