Overnight low temperatures in the 50s and 60s were observed early
this morning from Nebraska to Oklahoma as a handful of showers
slowly moved through portions of Kansas and Nebraska. Winds were
light and variable under partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout
the region.

Chances for rain will persist through Labor Day, especially in
the eastern portions of Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Afternoon
high temperatures will reach into the 70s and 80s throughout most of
the Central Plains, with rainy areas expected to struggle to make it
out of the 60s. Winds will largely blow out of the north at around
10 to 15 mph, with partly to mostly cloudy skies dominating the
scene over Middle America.

Rain chances will shift eastward tonight into portions of Missouri
and Arkansas. Overnight low temperatures will reach the 50s and 60s
for most of the area, with light northerly winds and mostly cloudy
skies forecast heading into Tuesday morning.
