Scattered showers and a few storms affected northeast Kansas
overnight. Early morning temperatures were very mild as they were
in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

Very hot temperatures are expected again today across parts of the
Plains, with afternoon highs around 105 degrees for central and
western Kansas along with central and western Oklahoma. Meanwhile,
highs across nebraska and Iowa will be in the upper 80s to around
90 degrees. Storms will be likely this morning from northern
Missouri into northeast Kansas with a few storms also possible
late this afternoon or early evening across northern Kansas and
southern Nebraska.
