A cool, cloudy, and rainy day was felt across much of the
Sunflower state today. Showers with a few rumbles of thunder
overspread the region from the southwest through the morning
hours. Widespread rainfall amounts between a quarter to a half
inch was observed, with a few lucky locations seeing amounts in
excess of 1 inch.

Tonight, scattered showers and thunderstorms will dot the region
with little to no severe threat. Overnight lows will fall into the
upper 50s across northwest Kansas with upper 60s in southeast
Kansas.

For Wednesday, widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected
across the state. A few storms could be severe with strong wind
gusts the most likely threat. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to
a flooding threat, especially across central and western Kansas.
Afternoon highs will reach into the 60s across northwest Kansas,
the 70s for central Kansas, and the lower 80s in southeast Kansas.
