The day started out with areas of showers and a few claps of
thunder over central and northeast portions of Kansas. Otherwise,
mostly sunny skies and above average temperatures prevailed across
the state today. The exception was portions of central and
northern Kansas where somewhat cooler weather and mostly cloudy
skies prevailed into the afternoon. Early evening temperatures
ranged from mid to upper 90s over south-central and southeast
Kansas, to 70s over northern Kansas.

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight into Thursday
morning over mainly northwest and northern Kansas. Severe storms
are not expected. Forecast low temperatures are in the 60s and
70s, warmest over southeast Kansas.

Another day of above average temperatures is expected Thursday,
with forecast highs well into the 90s for most of the state,
although 80s will prevail over far northern and northeast Kansas.
