Rain showers and embedded thunderstorms continued across central and
eastern Kansas last night. Predawn temperatures were in the 50s and
60s.

Upper level low pressure system will move slowly northeast from
Kansas into Iowa today with a cold front pushing southward across
the central plains. Numerous rain showers with embedded storms will
continue to rotate around the weather system over central and
eastern sections of Nebraska and Kansas into Missouri. Daytime
highs will range from the cooler 40s in central Nebraska to the
upper 60s in eastern Oklahoma.

Quiet weather conditions and clearing skies will be on tap tonight
as surface high pressure builds southward across the Heartland.
Northwest winds will begin to diminish and switch to a westerly
direction overnight. Lows tonight will dip into the 30s over central
Nebraska with 40s expected over central Kansas into eastern
Oklahoma.
