A cold front moved south through Kansas today, supporting breezy
north winds and slightly cooler weather. Late afternoon
temperatures ranged from near 100 degrees over far southeast
Kansas, to 80s over northern Kansas. Late afternoon heat indices
were still rather oppressive over far southeast Kansas, with
values up to around 105 to 110 degrees.

Cooler temperatures and clear skies will encompass Kansas
overnight, with forecast lows mostly in the 60s.

Somewhat cooler temperatures and breezy north winds will persist
on Saturday, as deep low pressure spins east of the region.
Forecast high temperatures are in the low 80s to low 90s, coolest
over far eastern Kansas.
