Scattered showers and storms with gusty winds and heavy rain
impacted much of central and eastern Kansas during the early
morning hours. A cold front continues to move across the region
with temperatures north of the front in the 60s. South of the
front, a mild night was observed with early morning temperatures
remaining in the mid and upper 70s.

Showers and storms will remain possible today across southern
Kansas where locally heavy rain and gusty winds will be possible.
Easterly winds will develop today in the wake of a cold front with
highs ranging from the mid and upper 70s in northern Kansas to
the mid and upper 80s in southern Kansas.

Chances for showers and storms will gradually shift northeast
across Kansas tonight. Lows are expected to fall into the lower
60s across the high plains of western Kansas while those in
southeast Kansas see lows in the lower 70s.
