Tranquil weather conditions prevailed across central and eastern
Kansas last night. Predawn temperatures were in the 60s with light
southerly winds and partly cloudy skies.

A weak frontal boundary will sink slowly southward across the
region today. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms
will accompany the front and track slowly southward across
Missouri into far eastern areas of Kansas and Oklahoma this
morning. Warm well above normal temperatures will continue over
the Heartland today. Daytime highs will range from the mid 70s in
central Nebraska, to the mid and upper 80s in central Oklahoma.

The weak frontal boundary will stall out over central Oklahoma as
surface high pressure builds southward from Iowa into eastern
Kansas tonight. Dry weather expected with overnight lows in the
50s and 60s over mid america.
