...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN ELK...EASTERN BUTLER AND
WESTERN GREENWOOD COUNTIES THROUGH 715 AM CDT...

At 637 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southeast of Burns to 7 miles south of
Eureka. Movement was southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Eureka, Howard, Severy, Rosalia, Cassoday, Climax, Eureka City Lake,
Eureka Airport, Beaumont, Fall River Lake, Piedmont, Fall River State
Park, El Dorado State Park, and El Dorado Lake.

This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 80 and 94.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
south central and southeastern Kansas.
