... BLOWING DUST ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS ...

Wind gusts around 40 to 55 mph are promoting localized areas of
blowing dust, particularly in the vicinity of recently plowed
fields. Reduced visibility along Interstate 70 has already caused
accidents along the interstate, and traffic cameras show localized
areas of significantly reduced visibility between Russell and Hays.
If traveling in the area this afternoon and evening, it is
imperative to exercise extra caution in areas of reduced visibility.

Locations impacted include...
Salina, Great Bend, Russell, Ellsworth, Hoisington, Ellinwood,
Wilson, Claflin, Kanopolis, Lincoln, Holyrood, Assaria, Gypsum,
Lucas, Gorham, Sylvan Grove, Geneseo, Brookville, Pawnee Rock, and
Smolan.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 78 and 95.
 Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 176 and 266.
