National Weather Service Wilmington NC
227 PM EDT Thu Aug 20 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Very hot temperatures will continue through today. An approaching
cold front should bring somewhat cooler temperatures and much
better chances of showers and thunderstorms beginning Friday,
lasting into Saturday. The front should weaken Sunday and Monday
and dissipate by Tuesday with perhaps some lingering showers and
thunderstorms near the coast during that time.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
