Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
227 PM EDT Fri Aug 21 2026

.DISCUSSION...
A hot and humid morning will give way to scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms this afternoon as a cold front
approaches and stalls northwest of the area. High rain chances
will last into Saturday as the front remains nearby. The stalled front
should weaken on Sunday and Monday with much lower rain chances
and near-normal temperatures during that time. Rain chances
increase during mid week as the stalled front becomes active again.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
