  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...

At 454 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms
were moving off Oak Island and off Little River Inlet, moving
southeast at 15 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Little River Offshore Reef, Sherman Wreck, Little River Reef,
Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy, A R 445, Cape Fear Sea Buoy, Shallotte
River Inlet Sea Buoy, Little River Entrance, Little River Sea Buoy,
Caswell Beach, and Bald Head Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes. If caught on the open water,
prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are
wearing properly fitted life jackets.
