...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BLADEN AND NORTH
CENTRAL COLUMBUS COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 614 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elkton, or 8 miles north of Whiteville, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Whiteville, Elkton, Emerson, Brunswick, Clarkton, and Columbus
Regional Healthcare System.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
