.DISCUSSION...

Ongoing showers north of a Quincy to Bloomington line will
continue to lift into northern Illinois this evening, parting way
to a lull in activity overnight. Additional showers and isolated
storms arrive Thursday morning and continue through Friday along a
cold front, bringing pockets of heavy rainfall. South winds will
shift to the north behind the front. Drier and much cooler weather
returns Friday night through early next week as surface high
pressure settles over the region.
