Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
148 PM CDT Wed May 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Transport winds (south to north) will begin to increase ahead of a
frontal system tomorrow. Amid deep mixing heights, vent rates
will be favorable for burning into Friday, as transport winds
remain elevated. Scattered thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday
could thwart an otherwise dry stretch of weather heading into the
weekend.

Note: Afternoon updates to this product will be suspended after
May 15th. Morning updates will be published each morning as
normal. Afternoon updates will then resume starting September
15th.
