.DISCUSSION...
Generally dry conditions are forecast to continue through Wednesday.
Though there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight
into early Sunday morning over Knox and Stark counties. A late summer
heat wave is expected next week starting Sunday, with Tuesday and
Wednesday being the hottest days with areas from Springfield to
Lawrenceville reaching near 100 degrees. Expect south to southeast
winds 5-15 mph today, with south southwest winds 10-15 mph and gusts
around 20 mph on Sunday. Afternoon minimum relative humidity levels
will be 40-50% today and Sunday. Fair to poor vent rates will continue
through Monday, except fair to good in southeast IL on Sunday and Monday
due to higher mixing heights.
