.DISCUSSION...
Generally dry conditions are forecast to prevail through at least
Thursday morning over central and southeast IL. There are low chances
(20-30%) of showers and thunderstorms over the area Thursday afternoon,
with likely chances on Friday afternoon. Heat and humidity will build
across IL next few days with very warm and muggy conditions lingering
at least into this weekend. Northeast winds 5-10 mph will prevail
today, and be light and variable tonight and Wednesday. Winds to become
south to southwest less than 10 mph by Thursday afternoon. Mixing
heights will reach 4000 to 5000 ft each afternoon today through
Thursday, though vent rates will remain poor through Thursday due to
light winds.
