.DISCUSSION...

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms remains in the forecast
for areas north of Canton to Bloomington Friday morning.
Otherwise dry weather will prevail across much of central and
southeast IL through sunset Saturday. Relative humidity will be
low Friday into Saturday, with minimum RH values of 20-35%
southeast of the IL river Friday afternoon. Southerly winds will
increase to around 10 mph on Friday with gusts up to 20 mph Friday
afternoon with similar winds expected Saturday. Ventilation rates
will be fair to good on Friday as transport winds increase.

Widespread rain is looking more likely for east central and
southeast IL Saturday night into Sunday morning as the remnants
of Hurricane Isaias lifts northward into the Tennessee and Ohio
Valley Region. Current projections have the heavier rainfall
amounts in southeast IL, where a half to 1 inch of needed rainfall
is possible from I-70 southeast.
