...NWS Damage Survey for 06/05/2024 Tornado Event...

.Overview...A brief EF-1 tornado touched down in northern Vermilion County
3 miles south of East Lynn on Wednesday morning as a line of storms began
to intensify after sunrise. Several grain bins were completely destroyed.
A couple of power poles were snapped, along with some damage to trees,
home siding and outbuildings.

Survey Summary:
The tornado touched down about 3.5 miles south of East Lynn along
E 3800 North Rd, where it completely destroyed 7 grain bins and
tossed the debris for about a half mile to the E-NE. A couple
power poles were snapped at that location as well. The tornado
moved to the E then NE as it damaged trees, home siding and the
roof of an outbuilding along N 770 East Rd. The tornado
progressed in a more northerly direction as it damaged some trees
at a residence about a half mile to the north, before dissipating
in the field to the northeast.
