...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Indiana...

  White River at Indianapolis.

.Major flooding continues along the White River. The crest is near
Nora and Ravenswood late this afternoon and should reach Raymond
Street in Indianapolis overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Indianapolis.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, Flooding of residential areas near I-465
  on the south side occurs, including Hoosier Acres and High Acre
  Manor. Flooding begins to affect south side wastewater plant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:45 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 19.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 3:45 PM EDT Saturday was 19.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.0
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage Monday evening.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
