...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  East Fork White River near Rivervale.

.Heavy to extreme rainfall over east-central Indiana since last week
has led to minor flooding on the East Fork White River in Jackson
County...with minor flooding to also start near Rivervale Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement should be issued Tuesday afternoon by around 200
PM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TO SUNDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, Lawrenceport Road just east of
  Lawrenceport and on the south side of river begins to flood around
  this level. During typical floods in this area this portion of the
  road can be flooded by 5 to more than 10 feet of water. During the
  January 2005 flood this area would have been near the "bottom" of
  the river, underwater by nearly 17 feet. In the Great March 1913
  flood, more than 25 feet of water would have covered this location.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 18.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Wednesday afternoon to a crest of 20.5 feet Thursday evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
