A combination of northwest wind gusts to 20 to 30 mph and minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 40 percent will create an elevated fire danger today. The lowest humidity values (around 20-25 percent) will be along and south of US 30, west of I 69- especially near White County, IN. Furthermore, given the extreme drought in northwest Ohio and portions of north-central Indiana, fine fuels-such as grasses and leaf litter-are dry and susceptible to ignition. This is especially the case in areas that did not receive as much precipitation or snowfall in the last event. Take precautions if planning to do any outdoor burning today as conditions are favorable for fire spread. $$ MCD
