.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 102 PM CDT Tue Oct 7 2025

The semi-permanent subtropical ridge that has largely controlled
the weather over our region the past few weeks will continue to be
the primary influence for us going through the remainder of the
week and into the weekend. This will result in more dry weather with
seasonably warm temperatures that are a little above normal overall.

Through tonight: Scattered light showers associated with a weak
cold front pushing slowly southeast into the area will diminish
quickly with sunset. The combination of the weak frontal boundary
moving into a very humid boundary layer will result in areas of
fog over southeast portions of the forecast area, and we are
messaging for a limited threat of dense fog. /EC/

Wednesday through Monday: Any fog should lift and dissipate by
mid morning. Thereafter, the weak cold front will continue to
shift south and eventually out of the area as we go into
Thursday, bringing a noticeable decrease in moisture and humidity.
This will significantly limit rain chances over the remainder of
the week into early next week. While temperature change will be less
significant behind the front, temperatures will cool a little more
at night in the drier air than they have recently. /DL/EC/

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 643 PM CDT Tue Oct 7 2025

Generally VFR conditions will degrade to MVFR/IFR overnight,
particularly for southern and eastern sites, as a weak frontal
boundary brings low stratus and fog potential overnight until
after dawn Wednesday. Conditions improve with the aid of daytime
mixing after around 13Z with a light northerly wind prevailing.
Winds could become somewhat gustier, 10-14 KT after 18Z. /86/
